How to delete files permanently

Sometimes you might have private/sensitive data which you want to securely and permanently remove from your PC. Just deleting it and emptying the recycle bin won’t delete it permanently; the data will still be recoverable.

1. Download something called eraser from the link below:

2. Install it to your computer
3. Right-click on the file you want to delete permanently and click Erase
   
4. Alternatively just delete it (which will send it to the recycle bin) and then right click on the recycle bin and click on erase.
5. This software works by overwriting the data several times, so it cannot be recovered. You can be fairly sure a file will not be recoverable once you have erased it
