How to make an eBook

eBooks are great ways of getting information across to people. They are also very easy to make, and almost anyone can make one. If you want to publish an actual book, it will cost you a lot and is quite a hassle.

There are various programs that are available free off charge that simplify the process for you. One such program is cutepdf.

1. Download and install cutepdf (click here for the web site). You'll also need to download and install a PS2PDF converter such as Ghostcript to make the program work correctly.
2. Open the file you have the content of the eBook in. It can be in any application that allows you to print. For the purposes of this tutorial, it will be a word document.
3. Now 'Print' the document, and select 'CutePDF Writer' as your printer. Click OK. (Don’t worry, nothing will actually print).
4. In a few seconds, a prompt (like the one below) will appear asking for the name and location of the PDF file you want to create. Enter them and press Save.
   
5. That's all. You should now be able to open the document and you’ll notice it’s a PDF file.
